There are six timers available that can run simultaneously, and independent of each other. These timers can be paused, and the program can even be shut down without losing active timers. In other words, when you start up the TIMER application, your active timers will still be running without losing any time. The Log view provides a nice user interface for viewing your timer logs. Each time you stop a timer you are given the choice of saving the timer info to file. This is the timer log. Getting Started ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ When you first start TIMER you will see the six timer windows. Move between the six windows by pressing the left/right arrow keys. To start a new timer, just highlight the Timer window you want, and press Enter. A dialog will pop up that says "Start Timer x". (x is the number of the timer window.) Fill out the info and press Enter. You've started a timer running. When you're ready to stop the timer, highlight the timer window you want, and press the delete key. You have the option of adjusting the date, description, and hourly rate if you are logging the timer entry. The price of the program is $20.00 USD. The program is not crippled but has a nag screen. When you register, you will receive a registration number that will remove the nag screen, and stop the pause when moving between views. If you have Compuserve, you can register online by going to the "SWREG" forum. There you can register TIMER and Compuserve will bill your account. This is the easiest way. METHODS . Once you have copied the Timer.opa file to your S3a, Press Psion from the system screen to install TIMER. Change the disk selector to the disk you copied TIMER to. Select TIMER, and press Enter to install it. If you need more help with this, see the section on reinserting icons in chapter 16 of the user manual for your Psion. This option will pause the currently highlighted timer. All timers can be paused individually. Pressing P again will start the timer running again. Note also that when you shut down TIMER, these timers keep running. If they are paused, the program will remember that they are paused. This is useful when you already have multiple logs created and want to save the timer entries directly to a certain log. If you don't choose "Yes", Timer will automatically save timer entries to the file called "Timerlog.log", which is the default log file. When you choose to stop a timer, you have the option of logging the data to file. Choosing the "Log to file" option will save the data to the default Log file. (Timerlog.log) Pressing the diamond key will open the Log View where you can view this data, and print it out to file or printer. Note that you can resize the window when in the Log view by pressing Control

With multiple files you can later archive a log entry into any log file. After creating the file use Psion to open it. Printing is allowed in ASCII mode. As long as you have a printer that can accept just plain text, you can print directly to printer. If not, you can print to file, open up the file in Word, and print from Word. . Choose PRINT from the menu . Choose the method (Printer or File) . If printing to File, enter a filename. When Banker is running, pressing the Escape key in Timer will jump back to Banker. It will not shut down Timer. The Timer program will continue to run. If you are not running Banker, the Timer program will not attempt to jump to Banker.
